VLC gets iOS 7 redesign, Google Drive integration, Dropbox streaming, the ability to download files, and more
VideoLAN today updated VLC for iOS with a slew of improvements, including a new design for iOS 7 as well as Google Drive and Dropbox features. You can download the new version now from Apple’s App Store.
The main highlights from the full change log are as follows:
New UI for iOS 7.
New multi-touch gestures.
Google Drive integration and streaming from Dropbox.
Improved UPnP support including the ability to download files.
A start-up tutorial.
Re-written WiFi Upload.
Support for more streaming formats and protocols.
Improved decoders, adding support for HEVC / H.265 and VP9.
Improved library handling, especially for TV shows.
Improved privacy when using Passcode Lock.
